Founded by Rina Einy in 2018 and working with an all-female team, Culthread is a slow fashion brand producing sustainable quality clothing and lifestyle products designed to be worn and treasured forever.
Culthread’s motto is ‘no cruel, all craze’ they believe in respecting people, the planet and its animals, while creating empowering items with the modern woman in mind. Their fabrics are sourced from the highest quality sustainable materials such as rpet – certified 100% recycled polyester and Thermore Ecodown ®. The team also seek out designer surplus dead-stock which is never seconds or inferior quality. Its faux fur is the softest available and does not shed and its recycled vegan leather is PETA approved. As for quality control, the team personally check each individual item.
With slow fashion being its mantra, Culthread produces very small limited editions (sometimes as few as 15 pieces in a particular style or colour) so there is little chance of feeling like everyone else when wearing one of its designs.
As would be expected from a female team, functionality was an integral factor in the design process and all Culthread’s garments. The collection is designed by women for women and when designing each product style, practicality and timeless design are all key components to the finished product. Each jacket has inside and outside pockets, and hoods if they are coats. Jackets are made with features such as side zippers that can be opened for sitting more comfortably, and collars that can be zipped high to keep the cold out. Bags are made with large laptop pockets as well as an array of other pockets for all kinds of ‘necessities’ like water bottles, keys, phones, gym shoes, baby bottles and everything else.
Culthread is passionate about producing stylish and functional fashion which does not harm the environment and will last a lifetime.
