RIMOWA Concept Store Launch New Bond Street

June 29, 2016 (London) – Luxury luggage brand RIMOWA celebrated the opening of their first stand alone concept store in London, at 153a New Bond Street, W1S 2TZ with a VIP cocktail reception. This store marks the brands first in the United Kingdom to compliment its strong international presence.

During the evening a special instillation by the celebrated set designer and window artist Justin Morin for JMStudio was unveiled. A series of seven sculptures suspended on chromed tubes become the receptacle for minimal floral composition. Fixed at eye-level the sculptures reveal the composition and architecture of the impressive 220 m2 store.

 

Guests attending had the opportunity to be captured in the form of a live illustration by award winning artist and art director Clym Evernden whose signature ink-based work has been appreciated globally by luxury brands, celebrities and media alike.

 

Throughout the evening guests were served a selection of beverages including champagne and a specially created Rose RIMOWA cocktail consisting of Aquavit, Campari, rose syrup, ruby grapefruit and a sugar rim and canapés including a fois gras and salted caramel macarron and Barbary duck parfait with confit damsons and gingerbread.

 

Floral displays were created by Les Ephemeres with thanks to Jeremy Martin.

 

Music was provided by celebrity DJs Fat Tony and Zara Martin.

 

Face of RIMOWA, Supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio who flew into London especially for the event said, ‘It is so great to be here in London to celebrate another impressive milestone for RIMOWA.
