Two weeks ago, we visited Los Angeles for a press trip with Citizens of Humanity. We had a fantastic team (the dream team!) which included the likes of Sasha Wilkins aka Liberty London girl, Victoria Moss from InStyle, Katie Dailey from Time Out, Catherine Nieto from Grazia, Helen Seamons from The Observer and Caroline Newell from ID magazine.
We visited Citizens of Humanity HQ, went behind the scenes to watch the whole denim-making process and even got a sneak peak at the mood boards for the upcoming AW13 collection. We also met the men behind Citizens Of Humanity, legendary founder Jerome Dahan, and the Godfather of denim Adriano Goldschmied.
But it wasn’t all work, we were also treated to outstanding food and divine cocktails in some of LA’s best restaurants including Mozza, Mr Chow and Gelina. But the highlight of the trip was definitely an afternoon surfing on Malibu beach! We had four pro-surfers teaching us how to catch the waves and had a blast trying to stand up on the boards…with varying degrees of success! To be on the white sand in November was incredible – all in all it was an unforgettable trip!

A new exciting collaboration for Vestiaire Collective – as ‘1 Girl/1 Vestiaire’ series features fashion visionary – Bay Garnett as its latest style advisor.
Priceless style tips to the ever-growing Vestiaire Collective community (today over 1.2 million fashion lovers) through (surprise!) activities and across multiple social media channels will be included in Bay’s new exciting role activities! The fashion consultant will also be sharing her wealth of experience with the Vestiaire Co team and help curate style looks from their vast index of luxury fashion items.
Bay is an iconic UK fashion figure with extensive experience in styling and editorial who has worked as a consultant to some biggest names in the fashion industry. She started her career in galleries such as Pace Wildenstein in New York and in 1997 she launched the acclaimed underground, anti-fashion magazine ‘Cheap Date’ leading to the birth of the ‘thrift pioneers’; with contributors such as Anita Pallenberg, Chloe Sevigny, Liv Tyler and Debbie Harry.
From 2002 – 2004, Garnett was Style Director to Matthew Williamson, and continues to be a Contributing Editor for British Vogue. In 2004 she designed a limited edition range for Topshop and consulted for Chloe.
